fish pole
i have a heddon's spinning rod 4 ft. 2" 2 piece bamboo with a spinning reel seat. it has 2 small yellow glass eyes and a wire tip, there are no other marking except Heddon's made in USA any chance you would know the value or year. I have included an image. thank you mike

Sorry, I can't tell much from the picture. I'm not sure the guide shown in the picture is a vintage Heddon guide, so the rod may have been altered from some earlier version of a casting rod.
Heddon made a number of short casting rods many of which do not have triggers and could easily be made into a spinning rod. My reference books indicate Heddon made fly rods and casting rods in bamboo, but I don't see a Heddon made spinning rod until the fiberglass era. I'm not saying it can't exist, just that I can't find any reference to one.
If you have any other pictures of the handle, reel seat, guides and tip, I would be happy to look at them. Post them here or send to joe@blackdogtackle.com and I'll see what I can figure out.
