Rich - Found this on Ebay - Any comments - Value?

LM Dickson Golden Bamboo Fly Rod, with a Shakespeare 1824 reel, unknown age, everything is in working condition, the only damage is to the threaded portion of the reel attach point, as noted in the picture. other than that this is a solid rod all the way through. All it needs is a little TLC. Comes with a fabric cover. Great deal.

I don't  know who L.M. Dickson is but it is not the well know Dickerson.
My question is ; is it only the metal threaded portion or is it also the rod.  If rod is cracked or broken it's worth about $15 to me for parts. Looks like a decent reel.
I would like to know what the cork check and reel seat is made of , aluminum or chrome platted brass. I recommend you don't pay over $30 if it is aluminum , maybe 70 if chrome platted brass.
Is that the kind of comment you were looking for? I hope I am remembering you as the guy looking for a project rod.
