Identifying & Valuing May Flower Split Bamboo Fly Rods
Question
I've inherited a May Flower split bamboo fly rod out of Japan. It has 6 pieces (two are interchangable tips). I can't find any info on this manufacturer. Have you ever heard of this maker? I have a photo but can't figure out how to send it via this site.
Thanks

Answer
Keith,
Originally sold by the thousands to GIs in a light long box with lures and huge flies . Mostly considered trinkets by collectors but memorial to GIs , they have little resale or fishing value. I have never seen any written history on them in English.
Good Luck
