Korea

Question
I am living in South Korea along the DMZ and want to learn fly fishing from a friend here. I think they have trout but I am not sure. My two part question is what type of fish do they have and is it safe to eat them?

Answer
I apologize for some reason my first answer did not get to you. There are some species of trout in Korea. I am not familiar with them, as I have never been to Korea to fish. I have a guide directory, but no guides listed for Korea.
The species of trout in Korea are also not familiar to me.
I would recommend trying streamers and crayfish imitators..those flies will imitate local bait fish and the local crustaceans in the water.
I did do some investigating and apparently there are Rainbow Trout in Korea raised there to be planted in some of the streams.
I wish I could give you better info, but this is all I have for Korea.. I did research on Google for the terms..
Korea Freshwater fishing,
Korea Freshwater species,
Korea Trout fishing..
