PW McClintic Rods: History, Value & Appraisal Information

Can you tell me anything about PW MCCLINTIC rods?
We've come across one and would like to pay a fair price to the owner who inherited it and has no idea of the price.

Hi JL,

A quick search online tells me that PW McClintic was a custom rod builder in Oakland, CA, in the 1930s.  It looks as if he made high quality rods.

Beyond that...I have no real data to support a value estimate.  I suggest you take a look at some of the vintage rod discussion forums online and post a few questions.  Do some searching for vintage, antique and bamboo rods for leads to the forums.
