J C Higgins pole 3017

Just wondering if you have any info on wooden pole its missing bottom eye but the metal piece it was soldered to is still intact  other then that in nice condition  an if has any value thanx terry

Hi Terry,

Unfortunately the Higgins were mass produced for Sears and don't carry a lot of value.  Maybe $30 or a little better in great condition.

The guide ring probably broke loose from the frame.  That guide could be replaced by a rod builder if you wanted to use it.  Otherwise, it probably doesn't pay to fix it.

Its still a great piece of fishing history.
