Fly Line, Leader & Tippet: Correct Attachment & Length

I was wondering if my thinking is correct. You have your fly line and you attach your leader to that then the tippet.

That is the correct attachment. If you purchase pre-made leaders you will get the leader and tippet as one continuous tapered line. Your leader and tippet length will vary depending on the type of fishing you will be doing.
