Understanding the '3 Man Countdown' Golf Competition: Rules & Strategy

I am playing in a "3 man Countdown" competition in a group of 4 players, what is this and what are the rules

Hello Murray, I can only speculate as to what this is and its rules.  Mainly because around the country, the same format will have several different names.  My guess is on certain holes your team score is one best ball of 4, on others it would be the 2 best of 4 and the rest, 3 best of 4.  Your best source for the answer is either the course you're playing or the tournament organizer.
