Question
i need help with my left arm am a right hand person so naturally am stronger with that hand but i notice i dont get much distance with my left arm when i do the pull compare to that of my right hand i need help to correct this. Also what exercise is good for a freestyler and backstroke. Am a short distance swimmer so what should the reps, sets and weights be like

Answer
Brandon, Sorry this took so long, if you are breathing to your right, you are possibly turning too far and laying on your left arm, which shortens the pull length of your left arm.  Concentrate on only turning your head enough to get you mouth out of the water.  Another help might be to work on alternate breathing(take a breath every 3rd stroke).
Your training should include a full range of distances, with at least one sprint set during training.  I have seen sprinters who have qualified for nationals in distance events and distance swimmers who have qualified in the sprints.  Weights should be well rounded, all muscle groups with full range of motion during each set, in swimming you want strong flexible muscles, not short bulky ones.
