How to be back to swimming

2016/7/15 11:58:15

Question
Dear George,

I had been in the swimming team of my middle school and high school. It was 6 years ago. Now I study masters. The elections of the swimming team of my university is next week. I have one week to practice. Could you please give me a practice advice? I now can swim 100m freestyle nearly 1.15seconds. and 50m freestyl in 31 sec and 50m breaststroke in 36 sec.
Thank you in advance?

Answer
Sorry this took so long.  The best thing you can do as an ex-swimmer is get back to training.  A week isn't very long to get back to condition, but hopefully your university coach can tell if your strokes look good enough to make the team.  In a week your speed will not show, good technique will.
Good luck,
George
