divers comeback

Question
Hi George, my name is Kelsey and I used to be a pretty good diver. I had been diving since i was a child and have received many awards and offers for my skill. However, 3 years ago i was forced to quit. Now I'm back and ready to pick up what I love most again. Yet, during those 3 years, I've lost my flexibility and my strength.

Any ideas?

thank you  =)

Answer
Hi Kelsey--
The best thing to do is start doing the same stretching exercises you did before you had to stop, this will help you get your flexibility back.  As for strength, the best thing is to start training again, just working on your diving is a good place to start building the muscles you need to dive.  Beyond that, if you have somewhere to lift weights, that would help, otherwise half-situps, leg lifts and exercises to strengthen your lower back would help.
Hope this is what you were looking for.
George
