Question
Dear Sir:

my question is that how breathing cud be performed smoothly while swimming free style coz i can enhale but it's difficult for me to exhale underwater as well as how can i improve my breathing skills to swim more smoothly?

Regards
Faisal

Answer
During freestyle you continuously exhale through your nose while you swim and your face is underwater, and you inhale during your breath through your mouth.
I suggest practicing exhaling though your nose if you are not already doing do. To get the right feel for it, try it different ways, such as a long exhale, a shorter exhale just before your breath, etc.
To improve your breathing skills you need to first be able to swim without your hips and legs sinking. The ability to swim on top of the water will make breathing much easier. To do so you need to work on your kick a lot. Try kicking drills on your side, one arm extended. Also kick with a board for a few minutes during every practice, and try to get faster at it. You then also need to practice bilateral breathing. That means try breathing every 3rd or 5th stroke. This will even out your stroke.
Hope this helps, if not ask a follow-up question.
Thanks
