Problems with pool pump and water clearness

2016/7/15 12:01:16

Question
We are having problems with our pool at the moment.  When we backwash the system and then put the pump back on, the water jets starts strong and pumps out an amount of silt from the system back into the pool and then the water jet slowly disipates to nothing.  This is causing the pool to not clear itself very well and the water is starting to look cluody even though the chemical balance is monitored and correct.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.

Answer
The answer would probably depend on what type of pool filter you are using. If you use a DE filter it may be time to get new grids. If you use sand may be time to change the sand. I dont have a whole lot of knowledge as far as pool mechanics go, so you should probably take your question to one of the local pool stores and find a more well rounded expert. Thanks.
