Question
Hello. I have a swim meet coming up in about as week.
Ill be competing in the 100m relay, 200m relay, 50m breaststroke, and 50m freestyle. I am in grade 9 and am 14. Can you please tell me what a good time would be for some one my age in the 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke. Please and Thank you. Or if not a good time; what would the average time be?

Answer
Michelle,
I am sorry, but I don't feel comfortable saying what I feel a good or average time would be for you.  I will refer you to USA Swimming's National Age Group Motivational Times:

These time standards can be explained here:

Basically USA Swimming (formerly USS and AAU) provide motivational times for swimmers to let them know exactly what you are asking.  For example, a B time would be the minimum level achieved.  Although a AAAA time would be the highest.  I think that you should look at these times based upon your age group, gender, and whether the pool is short course yards (25 yards), short course meters (25 meters) or long course meters (50 meters).

I hope this helps.
Eric
