Wrestling as the only girl

Question
Okay, I'm a freshmen weigh about 100-103 pounds and I'm interested in wrestling but I'm short and skinny. I know you have to have a good weight and strength since you use this as well as as technique. And to add more to the problem, my family and friends and teachers don't think i can do it. You see, appearence has somewhat to do with it, since I'm supposedly "a girly-girl" but I want to do this! Any tips for starters??? things i should know and keep a lookout for?

Answer
Yes I have some tips for you. Start working out. Push ups, sit ups, spirints, 3 mile runs lifting weights. You can sort of look at this like it's trying to sculpt your body. Work out and make sure not to scare yourself in your mind. You don't have to pay attention to those people. Actually I encourage you to hear those people so when you are working out, you know who your are trying to disprove.

I would also like to tell you that this is a contact sport. It has it's touchy side but make sure the guy doesn't go from just touchy to sexual harrasament. Just remember that you can wrestle as much as any guy can and you will do fine.
