Midwest Pools Usa: Swimming Pool Installation In Michigan South Carolina And North Carolina

2016/7/21 15:22:47

Being the owner of a Viking swimming pool and spa requires that you accept accountability for the safety of your family and guests. Therefore, it is necessary for every pool owner to establish pool rules for security reasons.

Below are seven rules that absolutely should be followed by everyone who uses your Viking swimming pool, regardless of age. You may have to remind people of them at first, but if you establish them (and enforce them) consistently, you’ll have few violations and many happy swimmers and loungers!

1. Do Not Dive into Shallow Pools or Spas

From Michigan to South Carolina, there are horror stories of people who jumped head-first into too-shallow water. Even if your Viking swimming pool has a deep end, it may not be deep enough to justify diving. When you purchase your Viking swimming pools and spas, always ask your representative whether the depth will accommodate head-first jumps.

2. Do Not Swim While Intoxicated

This sounds like a logical suggestion, but many, many people ignore it. If you’re having friends from North Carolina to your home for the week and you’re planning to imbibe adult beverages, don’t allow their stay to take a tragic turn. Drink responsibly before and during your Viking swimming pool use.

3. Do Not Allow Children to Swim without Adults

Even if the kids are in their teens, they should always be supervised by adults in some capacity. Accidents can happen, even to the best of swimmers.

4. Do Not Run around the Pool Area

Though this rule may sound like a joke, it’s most certainly not.
Protect your loved ones and acquaintances from hurting themselves by establishing a zero tolerance rule about running. One slip and fall could be disastrous; fortunately, it’s totally avoidable.

5. Know the Swimming Abilities of Everyone in Your Viking Swimming Pool

As the owner of your pool, it’s up to you to know the swimming abilities of everyone who sets foot in your pool. Thus, don’t assume that everyone in your Viking swimming pool can swim well or at all. This is especially important when considering young children who may be daredevils and may consequentially make bad choices simply to
show off for their peers.

6. Do Not Allow Food in Your Viking Swimming Pool or Spa

It seems logical enough that people wouldn’t want to eat while lounging in your Viking swimming pool or spa; however, you’d be surprised at how many individuals will stand in the shallow end eating a sandwich or munching on potato chips! Not only is doing this a bad (not to mention unnecessary!) practice, but it also lends itself to you winding up with food remnants in your Viking pool or spa and no owner wants that!

7. Do Not Allow People to Come to Your House and Swim Alone When You’re Not There

Obviously, this rule is more for kids than for adults, but it can.
