The Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming by Kevin Koskella, an e-book on triathlon training is one interesting book, with regard to the content used here. Well, for those of you in the dark, a triathlon consists of three events, running, biking and a swimming session thrown in the middle. I am sure that most of you must have watched the Beijing Olympics, opening ceremony and most of the sports events. The one that interested me the most was the triathlon event and I was surprised to see many of the leaders in the cycling session fall far behind when it came to swimming. It was almost like they had no energy whatsoever for this part of the race and were not just into it. Anyway, most of them were hard pressed to finish the race, which surprised me a lot. For one, these guys are supposed to be the top athletes of their respective countries and to see that they could not handle a simple swimming session did surprise me a bit.

Then, on surfing the net, I came across The Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming by Kevin Koskella. First of all, let me state something right away here, I am not training for the triathlon here, just a curious cat that wants to know more. I know that there are a ton of materials, free and paid, available on the net to teach you some of the swimming techniques. But I have to say that when it comes to triathlon, this e-book by Kevin sure sets most of them back by a mile and more. The approach used here is unique when compared to some of the other online books that I have looked through. In case you have not figured it out yet, I am nuts about swimming and hence the interest. Remember, back in high school, the gym teacher telling each one of us about the 'no pain, no gain' policy. Well, you will be happy to know that the Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming does not advocate the same.

The Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming comes jam-packed with exercises and techniques, just like any other book dealing with 'swimming'. This book comes with its own technique developed by the author, a professional swimmer, designed to help you get more out of your strokes. If you had seen the triathlon event [Beijing], especially the swimming part, you will remember the image of the athletes splashing a lot, but not moving much. According to the author, they were expanding more energy than that is required and as a result not getting to move as fast as they would have liked to. Well, that part sure perked up my interest quite a bit. The strokes and the techniques covered in this e-book are designed to help you achieve the optimum result as a swimmer, wasting less energy and moving a whole lot faster.

The Complete Guide to Triathlon Swimming is for the beginners and the professionals alike, training on anything from kicking correctly to teaching you how to breathe properly. This e-book is more like a guide to swimming in open water and it comes with a refund policy as well. As a swimmer, if you are trying to improve your methodology, you may want to go through this e-book.
