Fiberglass Pool Empty: Risks & Maintenance

It is generally not recommended to leave a fiberglass pool empty for an extended period of time. Fiberglass pools are designed to be filled with water, and can become structurally damaged if left empty. The weight of the water helps to support the pool walls and prevent them from bowing or buckling. Additionally, the water in the pool helps to protect the fiberglass surface from damage caused by the sun's UV rays, as well as from debris and dirt. If a fiberglass pool must be drained for maintenance or repairs, it is recommended to fill it back up with water as soon as possible.
