Is that true?

Question
Hi Martial, i know you are a hockey guy there, i actually dont play hockey in a league i just play with friends. I have other motivations to get in shape , but whatever.

Some bodybuilder i know (that isint an expert) recently said thatto have an effective cardio session, its gotta be atleast 45 minutes :S ... Is that true? He meant that if you do less, its more of a warmup and will not make your cardio better (even if its 35 minutes!)

thank you for helping me

Answer
Hello Steve...

As a general rule - this is about right...  depending how "hard" you are pushing your self, and or if you've done some sort of warm up before or not...  30-45 minutes is the general optimum range for a good cardio workout. ..

Of course there may be differences from one individual to another for various reasons like the fitness level they are at, size, nutrition, health, etc.

So listen to your body -  if it feels like doing more and feels GOOD about it - go for it.  If it's LESS - than, listen and try again "next time"!

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Martial
