Butt cap for Heddon fly rod

Question

Heddon 8389
Rich, I just acquired a glass Heddon Fly rod, model 8389, that is in wonderful condition. The butt cap is missing, however. Do you have any suggestions as to where I could find replacement parts? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Answer
Steve,
You might try Gary Dabrowski, Brookside Rod Co,    at http://brooksiderod.tripod.com/
If he doesn't have them he probably knows who is making them.

You might join and ask members of the bamboo rod building community on line:
http://www.canerod.com/rodmakers/index.html
there are metal workers there that can probably duplicate your butt cap.

who will direct you to :

and maybe

Len may have ideas

and please let me know if or not, you find an answer on this to [email protected].
Luck,
Mac
