PRESENTATION OF LIVE MINNOW AND SINKER

Question
How do I set my fishing line up to fish 30 to 40 ft. deep for walleye. What weight of sinker should I use to get the bait down and where do I place the sinker in regard to the minnow?

Answer
Hi Janice,

To fish a live minnow 30-40 feet deep, I'd recommend something like a Lindy Rig.  http://www.fish-hawk.net/tips/lindyrig/lindy_pg.php

It's a great system.  For that depth I'd want to go with at least 1/2 ounce of lead.  The sinker should be anywhere from 3' to 5' in front of the minnow.

Good fishing!
