What have I got

Rich -I have a bamboo fly rod that belonged to my uncle just wanted to know how old it is and maybe it's worth.It is a horrocks-Ibbotson  ROOSEVELT decals that are elongated double diamonds with Utica,NY inside.It has never been used and is still in the cloth and in a tube.It is a green rod and is very good-lookin    Thanks   Dave Beal Lehi Utah

The Roosevelt model was first made in the 30s by HI. In the forties and 50s it became the 2305 Roosevelt. If I have to guess I would say from your brief description of the label that your rod is 1929 to 34 but I would like to have a picture of the label before you quote me , please. Email is [email protected]. I rarely evaluate rods prices without seeing them. The Roosevelt was bottom of the line at HI. Horrocks-Ibbotson rods are looked down upon by the collecting community  and often are justified. They were mass produced , rather heavy and very slow.
