GUR
Question
GUR as per definition "an area from which play is prohibited"
My question is, if an area is defined as GUR as "local rule"
is it compulsory to take relief?
Answer
Relief from GUR is optional unless otherwise specified to protect an area from foot traffic or other incursions that may damage the area. Keep in mind though, if you elect to take relief from GUR, you must take full relief; both swing and stance.
Thanks for the question.
