Swim cap or ear plugs

2016/7/15 12:00:52

Question
I am new to swimming, I am using it as a cardio to weight training. I am wondering if I should use a swim cap or ear plugs to keep the water out of my ears. I was hoping I could use a cap because I don't feel like continuously feeling for the plugs while swimming. If I can use a cap what type should I buy?

Sincere thanks,
Andrew h. Johnson

Answer
Andrew--
The best way to keep water out of your ears is ear plugs, but you can use a cap.  They do make plugs that are pretty secure while you are swimming. And swim caps can let a little water underneath them.
If you use a cap you can get them at most sporting goods stores and they are all pretty much the same.
Hope this helps,
George
