The Missouri State Highway Patrol, which patrols the Lake of the Ozarks, does not maintain statistics on bodies that have never been recovered. The Lake of the Ozarks is a large lake with many areas that are deep and difficult to search, so it is possible that there have been drownings at the lake where the bodies have never been recovered.
