r.l. winston

Question
I recently came into posession of my grandfather's old r.l. Winston fly rod. I am having trouble finding information on it. It's not bamboo but I hope u can help. It is green and the  markings on it are:
9' w6
2 7/8 oz.
274 cm.  81g.
5276

It has a decal that reads:
The Winston Rod
R.L. Winston Rod Co
Montana

That is every piece of identification I can find on the rod.  It is two pieces and came in a green sleeve that has a r.l. Winston patch on it. Also a silver r.l. Winston metal tube.  I am having trouble attaching pictures through this site, but if u think u can help I can send them through my plain email.

I anxiously await ur reply.
Thank u for your time.

Brandon

Answer
Brandon,
You probably won't find much because  it is not vintage , it's too new.
R.L. Winston does make very good quality bamboo rods as well as graphite.
So I assume graphite , could be any date from the 70s on.
I recommend you e-mail or or call RL WINSTON ROD CO.
