How to stay calm underwater while working on something

2016/7/15 11:59:54

Question
Dear George,
My name is Jake and I am going to start BUDs training to become a Navy SEAL.I have a problem staying calm and pacing myself while being underwater and working on something with no scuba gear. Do you have any tips on this problem it would help a lot for my future training

Answer
Jake--
The best suggestion I can give you is to keep trying to relax when underwater.  There really aren't any training tips I can suggest, it just sounds like you need to work on becoming more comfortable underwater.  Patience and relaxing and keep working on it is all I can offer, sorry.
Hope this helped a little,
George
