Swimming-body type?

2016/7/15 12:00:26

Question
I was trying to search the web for an answer, but wasn't very succesfull (sorry for my English, I'm European)

The question is -is there any connection between body type, height, weight and swimming achivements?

What is the body type of Olympic champions?

Thank you!

Answer
Elena--
The most common body type for an Olympic swimmer is a little taller than average, very lean(8% body fat or less), weight isn't easy to say because muscle is heavier than body fat and depending on the height of the athlete and how muscular they are, it can vary.  The typical olympian is incredibly fit compared to an average person.
I hope this helps,
George
