Alfira mans bicycle 3 speed

QUESTION: I have this bike and need new tires and tubes 28x175. Tires were made in Holland. I cannot find a shop that carries the tire nor anyone that has ever heard of this make. Can you give me some info about it? Thanks,  Jim , Wood River, Il.

ANSWER: Hello Jim,

Nice of you to ask me about this.
The tire is 28", a normal sized wheel vs the smaller 26" used in mountainbikes
Most of the times this tire is about 35-38 millimeter wide.
And you can use other brands from example Bontrager, Michelin, Schwalbe who has an excellen touring tire.
And Vredestein is also a huge brand overhere!
Is there any other information upon the tire?

QUESTION: Thanks so much for the info. Do you know where the bike was made? I bought it at a yard sale and have no idea of its origin or worth. Is there a website we can go into to order the tubes and tires?? Thanks,  Jim

Hello Jim,

I have searched the internet but I can't find anything for Alvira.
Alfira would have build also a foldable bike, but further that this I didn't find.
So, I guess you have to this with a typical other dutch brand Vredestein.
