Biking Components Compatability

Question
Hi George,
Just a quick question, couldn't find on internet: will a suntour derailleur work with a shimano cassette hub? The suntour component is old, non-indexed type. The shimano cassette is the new component that I would get, 7 speeds. Just rear derailleur, single ring in front.
Thanks so much! I hope I was clear enough.

Answer
Hey John,

Sorry it took a while but my computer at home is not working.

As far as I know all deraileurs SHOULD work ALL cassettes. I believe it falls under the ISIS...

International Spline Interface Standard - the International specification for the interface linking a Crankset to the bottom bracket. But also applies to all drive systems.

So im thinking it will but without a picture or model number im not 100%.

Hope this helps!

~Thanks John and good luck.
