cycling shoes

Question
Hi-
I have recently begun taking indoor cycyling classes and need a good pair of shoes. I am looking on line and don't know if I need mountain biking or road shoes? Any suggestions? I really like the Diadora Geko MTB (they're also at the right price) are these even the right type?
Thank you!

Answer
Indoor cycling classes are usally spin classes. These type of classes usually use road shoes. Mountain shoes have a sole that provides more traction and are more conducive to walking in. I would suggest asking the class instructor what they recommend.

What you don't say is whether the equipment used in the class uses clipless pedals or not. That also has a bearing.
