Wiring a Second Battery for Accessories in Your 18ft Chaparral Runabout

simple question i have an 18ft chaparral runabout i have one battery for everything but i have an extra battery and think i should use it to run my accesories  how to i wire in the second battery  is it accesory wire to positive new battery  and negative to negative with additional jumper wire?

Please contact me direct so I can send you a simple drawing on how to correctly connect a second battery so that it can be charged by the motor when running. on any boat you should at all possible times have a second battery to power only your equipment and the first battery is used for starting only!
