Hi I would like to track my horse history down if anyone can help me I need to no how much he  has won  and  his mum and dad if you can help me . Plz write back Lisa  his name is lockie or Locky I do not no his race name but got lockies brands .

Hi Lisa:

Thanks for your question.  Without knowing your horse's racing name, it would be extremely hard, if not impossible, to tell you anything about your horse.  If the horse is a true retired racing thoroughbred, the previous owner would be the best place to start, and then backtrack the horse's lineage.

There is one other way to identify him - All active race horses have a "lip tattoo" that identifies them and there is a website that helps to identify horses by their lip tattoo and goes so far as to tell you how to find the tattoo and how to read it - there is also an instructional video on the subject.  Paste the following webpage identification into your browser to get to the website.  The website name is "The Jockey Club Registry".
