Answer
Hi Jessica,
You certainly sound like you have the passion and that is the most important attribute needed to become a successful jockey. You can learn nearly everything else but if you don't have the passion to drive you it will not work.
I don't know much about racing in Arizona but it is a huge industry across the USA and around the world.
Jockey skills are the same everywhere so you can use your skills to work anywhere in the world.

To begin with, you should find someone who is currently a jockey or recently retired and learn from them. They will have knowledge and contacts that are relevant to your area.
The life of a jockey is pretty hard so you need stamina and dedication to the tasks and practices required.

If possible try to get work in a racing stable so you learn the language and start to immerse your self in that world. You may need to offer to do odd jobs for no pay until a position comes up. There is always plenty to do, feeding, mucking out, walking horses, washing horses, cleaning tack etc.

To give you more specific guidance I need to know more about you. You can reply to [email protected] and tell me more about you. Age, weight, height, how close is the nearest racetrack and racing stables. Do you have any contacts already in racing? Can you already ride and if so what is your experience?

That should do for now, I hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes,
