i own a race horse who gets very nervous. Would a little wine or beer added to his feed help settle him down?

hi --i do not know if the beer or wine would actually settle him down or not. there are some things you can buy at the tack store for a nervous horse, such as calm and cool or a additive to his feed at night or in the am before you plan on using him  hope this helps  thanks ED HESS
