Pain in knees

2016/7/22 10:05:14

Question
Hi, I just started walk/jogging about a week ago. I'm a 21 year old female, not over weight, and no history of knee pain. In the week I've been walking/jogging (mostly walking), my inner knees have been hurting. Mostly after I'm done with my walk and in the mornings. What could be the cause of this? Also, how can I help the pain to go away?

Thanks

Answer
I'm sorry about your pain Taylor.  It's frustrating to start exercising and have pain.  There are a few potential causes.  When you say your "inner knees" hurt do you mean medial or deep?

Regardless of what you feel try doing the 4 exercises on my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/RaineyNick?feature=watch

Do these for 2 days and on the 3rd day do these exercises right before you walk/jog and then see if your pain while walking/jogging is better, worse, or the same.

Let me know after you've done these exercises if is changed at all.  Also please let me know more specifically where you feel the pain.

Good luck Taylor!
