2016/7/22 10:07:28

Question
dear Sir,
Some doctor said that uphill running very often is not good because it will buildup muscles around the heart which is not good.
Do you agree? i often run uphill. 20 km uphill, very often.
Thanks
Serge

Answer
Hi Serge
Never heard anything like that.Distance runners world wide are running hills as part of there preparations for years.I would say don't worry, but if you want to check with a cardiologist it wouldn't hurt. You could fine one on this site i think.I would be interested to hear what you found if you get a chance Serge.

All the best

John
