Question
I am 16 years old and want to do cross country next year.

I have recently found a plan on a running website that should help me begin to run. Link- http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-380-381--9397-2-1X5-3,00.html      (Note: Two pages on that link)

Do you think this will be a good plan for me to begin running?

Thank you!

Answer
I think it's great. But you might figure out what level you're on first. Don't try to do this if you may have the ability to go out and run 3 miles. If you can go out and run 3 miles, you're going to have to need a different schedule.

Also keep in mind your goal. What kind of running do you want to do? Daily jogs? 5K's? Or constantly increasing your ability? Figure out what you want to do, research, ask someone (me), and make a schedule.

There's a lot more to it than a website schedule, everyone is different and has different goals.
