getting back at it

Question
Rick,
Prior to a rough pregnancy (brutal all-day "morning" sickness - nothing physically the matter with me) I was an avid runner and particularly loved the half marathon distance.  Now, my son is one month old and I'm anxious to get back at it, but have heard that joints become loose during pregnancy and need time to toughen back up.  How long do I need to wait/what do I need to do before resuming a regular running schedule?  Currently, I walk or rollerblade 4 times per week.
Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Aimee

Answer
Well, for one, I would start by gently adding running to your exercise routine, since walking/blading take up the most part of it now.  I am not aware of the joint issues following pregnancy, so it is best to ask your doctor about this.
