arch pain

2016/7/22 10:10:25

Question
I'm training for my 4th marathon (over the last 4 years).
I keep having pain in the arch of my left foot.. not enough
to keep me from running, but it's there.  My shoes are fine (about 180 miles), so I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?

Answer
Cathy,

This happens to many people. SOmetimes the arch just starts to hurt. Usually it can be fixed by stregthening it.Lay a towel on the floor. Stand at one end of it, and slowly keeping your heel in a set position, use your toes to crunch the towel in towards you. This is a good exercise to do.
