Foot Pain After Jogging: Causes & Relief

Question
What type of foot pain (on top of the foot) happens after walking fast jogging? What causes the muscle/tendon that is hooked to the middle toe to be sore after jogging? Does a person need new shoes if this happens?

Answer
Hi Jen
I don't know how long you have been working out and how often you run,but most problems such as your the body will adapt over time as long as you are patient and treat the cause as it surfaces. You probably have a little bout with tendonitis. You should ice it after all workouts and more if you have time for 15 minutes. Also adding 500mg vitc with your 3 meals a day will enhance recovery of tissues, tendons, cell structure. The shoes are not the problem.Training is about building gradually to higher levels of stress on the muscularskelton system.Any other questions just get in touch Jen

All the best

John
