Getting tired while running

Question
OK, I have been running for a year and a half.  I started running at sea level and generally did 2-3 miles a day for the first 6 months (6 mph, treadmill).  I then moved to a higher elevation (2500 above sea level) place.  I started having A LOT of trouble with consistency.  Some days I could go 5 miles, some days barely one.  It was really weird, and got really tiring.  I figured it was a mental thing (I knew it wasn't altitude because the problem never got better even after living here for 8 months).  I then went home (to sea level again).  I was home for 3 months, and ran 4 miles every other day on the treadmill (always the same speed, 6 mph).  I never had any trouble running.  I came back to school (2500 feet) and was fine for the first couple days (4 miles, 6 mph) on treadmill, and then one day I suddenly could even make it a mile and a half, was dripping sweat after a quarter mile.  I asked a friend who was a runner about it while we were sitting in the hot tub (I had just been running).  He looked at me and asked 'why are you in the hot tub right after you just finished running? That is what is going on, you are getting in the hot water right after you exercise'  My question to you: could this possibly make that big of a difference?  Is there something else that could be going on?
Thank you
Christina

Answer
Hi Christina
The hot tub is not the problem so continue to enjoy it.I think it has something to do with your diet and electrolytes and possibly annemic. You can get a simple blood work up and make sure they include the test for low iron levels. How is your height weight ratio?Do you need to lose any weight? If you want to give me a 2 week diet of yours i can see how it measure ups.If you have other questions just get in touch Christina.

All the best
