Shoulder Sore After Jog - Why?

Question
Hello John,
I'm 52, doing some jogging.  I intersperse it with sprints now.  As my fitness has increased, so has the intensity of my sprints (short intervals). Last week my left shoulder joint was sore after a jog/run, and I still feel it weak now.
1) can jogging/running injure the shoulder joint? I never thought that was possible.
2) how can I prevent it?  Are there any exercises you can recommend?
Thanks!

Hi usuff
Question 1.. no
question 2..you should start doing some shoulder streches and with arm circles both forward and backward. Also i would start doing some push ups to strengthen shoulders.Any other questions just get in touch usuff.
