Trying to lose the baby weight...

Question
John,
I am 5'4" (AND 1/2!) weighing about 155..(havent been on the scale since I started jogging). I have just completed my 18th day in a row of jogging. For the first 12 days I ran about 2 miles, then turned it up a notch and now am jogging 3.4 miles. I calculated wrong in my first question to you. I have been trying to consume under 1000-1500 calories a day. How many miles should I be doing a week to help drop 20lbs? AND will jogging help lose my tummy from having 2 children (youngest is 2)? When will I start seeing major results?
Thanks again, Kari

Answer
Hi again Kari
Here it is straight.First have your body fat taken with calipers, and look for aproximately 15 percent body fat. This will give you a base line to work with.Second is look in the mirror naked and when you like what you see without lying to yourself you have reached your goal.Done.Third stop counting calories.Focus on a good balance of carbs protein and good fats. You got this way over time and that is how it is going to come off and firm up to your likeing. The key to success is consistent focus patient training to what your commited to,no more no less period. The questions your asking are setting your self up for failure.Your body fat calculation and the MIRROR is all you need. They don't lie.

The very best

John
