Question

Hi, I've been rowing for about a year now. I'm still a novice and I am focusing heavily on technique. My, 2K erg score is 6:50. I was just wondering whats a 'good' 2K time for a senior British club rower.

Thanks for your time

Chris

Answer
Hi Chris: I attached a link to the Senior Men's Heavyweight results of the CRASH-B Sprints, considered the premiere event for indoor rowing.  As you can see, your 6:50 puts you in the 60th percentile, which is better than average.

So I would say you are rowing the CII erg at a good time.  A great time would be 6:35.

Regards/AP
