pro sub dcv /bcd

i havce a pro sub bcd. there is no serial # just the letters dcv on the bcd. i dove with this bcd for the first time and pulled on the rear dump valve and it broke in my hand . i have been trying to find a replacement part only to come up short. can you help? i am new to diving i purchased the bcd on craigslist and learned a lesson. but i do love this old bcd i had a great dive with it until the  misshap ..thnk you for your response ........Roy

I tried looking around to locate a source for the ProSub dump valve.  Try contacting ProSub (www.prosub.com) and asking about any dealers located near you.  If there is not a ProSub dealer close to you, try going to a local SCUBA shop.  Many of the dump valves are "generic", as they will fit onto several brands of BCD's. Your local dive shop might be able to replace the broken valve with a different brand that functions just as well as the original.

If you still can't find a replacement dump valve, contact me again, and I will dig around for some more ideas.
