Ear Barotrauma After Equalization: What to Do?
Question
When I equilized at 3m bubbles appeared out of my R ear. No real pain. Is this bad for future diving, can I go safely deeper next time?
Answer
Hello Frieda. I'm sorry to hear about that experience. I am not a physician and cannot legally provide medical advice. However, what you experienced is not normal for diving. I recommend that you abstain from diving until you can explain your experience to a physician. You may have experienced some sort of barotrauma and it would be unwise to dive again until you have been cleared by a doctor. Good luck. Jesse
