Certification Number

Question
I recently qualified as a PADI open water diver. Today I received my certification card. I was expecting a 6 digit certification number on the card. For example certification number 123456. Instead I have a 10 digit student number. For example Student number 1234H56789 is this the number I enter on log sheets as a dive buddy ?

Answer
Hi Clive,

I wasn't aware of a change by PADI on their member id numbers (Mine is, indeed, a 6 digit number) but it sounds like they've changed it if that is the number on your card.

It doesn't matter much if you include your ID number on a log book buddy entry, but you'll get extra credit for completeness ;)

have fun and dive safely and slowly!

saludos,
James
