Question
Hello Charles, I also have a H & R 7 shot 22 rim fire pistol and am trying to find year of manufacture. On the top of the barrel reads
Pat. Oct 8, 1895 and on the side it only states premier 22 rim fire. the serial number is 190099 and is blued finish. any help would be great! Thanks  Bob

Answer
Hello Bob.
Your revolver is known as a 'Harrington & Richardson Premier Second Model Third Variation in .22 caliber'. There is no reliable information dealing with how to date one by serial number. Your revolver was manufactured from 1909-1913. It was available in 2,3,4,5 and 6 inch barrels. The standard finish was nickel plate, but could be special ordered in blue. Values are according to condition, from $100-$265, with blue being about 20% higher. They make very nice shooters, but only after having the OK from a competent licensed gunsmith.
Hope this helps and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
