Inch low also...can u help me plz and thank you

Answer
The magazine must fully engage its latch for the gun to work properly. i.e. when the magazine is inserted properly, you must not be able to pull it out again unless the magazine release is first activated.

When "racking the slide" to strip the first round from the magazine and move it into the chamber, it is important to operate the slide properly: grasp the slide fiirmly and pull it all the way back as far as it will go. Then, abruptly release the slide so that it moves back under the full power of the spring.  If you hold onto the slide as it moves back into place, it will move too slowly to engage the mechanism.  It must slam back smartly, which it will do if you abruptly release the slide when it is all the way back.

If it still does not work properly, then you need to take it to a gunsmith.

Hope this helps!

Dave
